We at Seaside want to thank all of the players and parents for all of their support during the 2020-2021 season. It was very challenging dealing with all of the COVID restrictions, but it was worth it to be able to have a complete season. We will be working through the summer to be ready for the 2021-2022 season. We thank everyone for filling out their surveys so we can make Seaside better! We take those comments seriously and will do everything we can to implement suggestions.

Here’s are some of the things we’re currently working on:

Two Summer Camp Days-We are finalizing the details, but are planning on having two Saturdays at the end of July to have a skills camp. As always, we will make it affordable but also FUN! We are hoping to announce details soon.

School tryout prep-Just like last summer, we will have an open gym opportunity for Seaside players to prepare for the upcoming school season tryouts.

Specialized small group clinics-Working with one of USA Volleyball’s High Performance Coaches.

Volleyball Parents Learning Clinics-Expand your appreciation of volleyball strategy including player positions and responsibilities, rotations, lineups, substitutions, team chemistry, referee calls and signals, etc. This will be in person sessions with coaches.

Coaches Continuing Education Program-We are going to keep improving the club by enhancing our coaches skill set.

Communication Improvements-From our website to Facebook to team texting, we are going to improve communication within the club.

Getting practices back in Bluffton-We are excited that we will be able to resume practicing at the local schools in Bluffton.

Tryouts for the 2021-2022 season will most likely be towards the end of October for players 14 and under and in the beginning of November for those players 15 and up. Check our website and Facebook page for those announcements.

Change in how to register for USAV

2020-09-16 01:00 PDT by Seaside Volleyball Club (0 Comments)

The Palmetto Region has switched from Webpoint to SportsEngine for registration. There are some noticeable differences. First off, every player will initially purchase a tryout membership. After you have accepted a position on a team, the Club will send you an invitation to join that team. At that point, you will register for full membership.... [more]

No recent activity How is Seaside Volleyball Club different from other clubs in the area?
There are many clubs to choose from in the Beaufort County area. Each club has its differences, here's ours: Smaller Club/Smaller Teams-We think the ideal number of players is 10 per team. This increases the playing time for all the players on a team. Less Tournaments-Seaside plays in about two tournaments a month. This enables us to charge less for each season and saves parents money in travel costs. Speaking of travel costs-With the exception of "Stay to Play" events, we don't dictate where you stay. It is your responsibility to get the player to the playing venue at the coach required time. We do encourage families to stay near each other as it promotes cohesiveness. Less practice time-We know that school comes first for our athletes, so we practice only twice a week-during the day on Sunday and a weeknight. This also makes it so our older players can have a job as well.
